Tell the Pennsylvania legislature: Protect Pennsylvania families—stop deregulation

Pennsylvania legislators:

The deregulation of Pennsylvania’s electric rates is scheduled for 2010. Experts predict deregulation will increase electricity rates up to 65%, with consumer advocates arguing the increase will be closer to 100%. Some legislators contend that deregulation could be equivalent to the "biggest tax increase in Pennsylvania history." States that have previously deregulated their utility rates have seen significant increases of up to 75% in their utility bills. Pennsylvanians already have some of the highest electricity costs in the nation. Deregulation would be disastrous for working families.

Take action now—stop deregulation and protect Pennsylvania families.

and stop the rip-off!
